About this Release

Cars 2, Original Motion Picture Soundtrack was released in 2011 alongside the Pixar animated film. The album combines Michael Giacchino’s orchestral score with contemporary songs featured in the film.

Robbie Williams contributed the track Collision of Worlds, performed as a duet with American country artist Brad Paisley. Written by Paisley and produced for the film, the song plays during the end credits and reflects the story’s international racing theme.

The recording blends pop rock and country influences, pairing Williams’ vocal with Paisley’s in a transatlantic collaboration. Its upbeat tone and driving arrangement align with the film’s action centred narrative.

The soundtrack achieved commercial success following the film’s global release. Williams’ involvement marked one of his prominent contributions to a major animated feature during the early 2010s.
