Classic Album Selection

Classic Album Selection was released in 2012 as a box set compiling five of Robbie Williams’ studio albums from his EMI period. Issued as part of a budget catalogue series, the set gathered previously released material in replica CD packaging.

The collection includes Life Thru a Lens, I’ve Been Expecting You, Sing When You’re Winning, Swing When You’re Winning and Escapology. The albums are presented without additional bonus tracks, reflecting their original standard editions.

Released after Williams’ departure from EMI, the box set formed part of the label’s wider strategy of repackaging key catalogue titles. It offered a consolidated overview of his commercially dominant period between 1997 and 2002.

Classic Album Selection functions as a retrospective collection rather than a new creative project, highlighting the sequence of albums that established Williams as one of the UK’s most successful solo artists.
