Inner Sanctum was released in 2007 as a DVD originally compiled for subscribers to a previous edition of RobbieWilliams.com. The release was later made available more widely, offering fans access to exclusive material from the mid 2000s period of his career.
Among its centrepieces is The Man Olympics, filmed specifically for the DVD, which features Williams and friends competing in a series of events in Los Angeles and at his home. The light hearted footage reflects the irreverent tone that characterised his online fan community at the time.
The DVD also includes access all areas material filmed across Europe and the UK during the Close Encounters 2006 tour, along with live performance and animated content linked to the Rudebox era.
Rather than functioning as a traditional concert film, Inner Sanctum serves as a fan focused archive release, documenting both touring life and off stage moments from a distinct phase in Williams’ career.
