Twenty Twenty is the eleventh studio album by Ronan Keating, released on 24 July 2020. Issued to mark twenty years of his solo career, the album features a mixture of newly recorded material and collaborations. Robbie Williams appears as a featured guest on the duet The Big Goodbye, bringing together two prominent British and Irish pop vocalists of the late 1990s.
The collaboration between Keating and Williams had been discussed for several years prior to its release. The Big Goodbye was written by Keating with Ed Sheeran and Steve Mac, and produced by Mac. The track presents a polished contemporary pop sound, with both singers trading verses before joining in a harmonised chorus.
Lyrically, the song reflects on the end of a relationship, framed as a decisive farewell rather than a reconciliation. Williams’ vocal contribution adds a contrasting tone to Keating’s delivery, reinforcing the conversational structure of the duet. The release of The Big Goodbye as a single helped promote Twenty Twenty ahead of the album’s arrival.
