Sin Sin Sin was released in March 2006 as the third single from Intensive Care. Written by Robbie Williams and Stephen Duffy, the track continued the darker thematic thread of the album.
Produced by Duffy, the recording features a driving guitar riff and a more aggressive arrangement than its predecessor Advertising Space. The song’s layered production and rhythmic intensity marked a return to a more forceful pop rock sound.
Lyrically, Sin Sin Sin explores themes of temptation, excess and moral ambiguity. Its provocative title and refrain reflect Williams’ willingness to address controversial subject matter within a mainstream pop framework.
Sin, sin, sin.Robbie Williams
The single reached the UK top 20 and concluded the main single campaign for Intensive Care. It remains a notable example of the album’s edgier tone within Williams’ mid 2000s output.
