Le Rôle de Ta Vie was released in 2017 as a single tied to the French edition of The Heavy Entertainment Show. The track is a French language adaptation of Time on Earth, created specifically for Francophone markets.

Williams re recorded his vocal entirely in French, setting new translated lyrics to the original melody and arrangement. The adaptation preserves the dramatic, mid tempo structure of the English version, including its piano foundation, string accompaniment and gradual rhythmic build.

While musically identical to Time on Earth, the French version shifts emphasis onto vocal phrasing and linguistic cadence. The translated text follows the same thematic arc of performance, identity and emotional vulnerability, aligning with the theatrical tone that characterises the parent album.
