The Robbie Williams BandFil Eisler was a member of the Robbie Williams Live Band from 1997 until 2001. He played guitar and served as music director during Robbie's early solo tours, contributing to live arrangements and ensemble coordination. Eisler performed on televised specials and promotional appearances, including early renditions of tracks from Life Thru a Lens and I've Been Expecting You. His tenure coincided with Robbie's rise as a solo artist and helped shape the sound of his early live shows.
He departed the band in 2001, and his role was later filled by other guitarists including Neil Taylor and Tom Longworth. Eisler's contributions remain part of Robbie's foundational touring history.
Other Projects and AppearancesAfter leaving the Robbie Williams Band, Fil Eisler built a career as a composer for film and television. His credits include the Golden Globe-nominated series Empire, Showtime's Shameless, ABC's Revenge, Lifetime's UnReal, and Netflix's Biohackers and Outer Banks. He composed the main title theme for Amazon's The Romanoffs and scored films such as Thunder Force, Superintelligence, The Titan, CHIPS, and How to Be Single.
Eisler won the Best Film Score Award at SXSW for Natural Selection and has received multiple BMI Film & TV Awards. He participated in the Sundance Film Composer's Lab and led the music direction for the Peabody-winning documentary Newtown. His scoring style blends orchestral, electronic, and rock elements, and he continues to collaborate with directors across genres including action, comedy, thriller, and documentary.
