About
Dickhead was written by Robbie Williams and Jerry Meehan, and produced by Meehan. It first appeared on the deluxe edition of Rudebox and stands as one of the most provocative and comedic tracks in Williams’s catalogue. Built on a pounding hip-hop rhythm and aggressive bassline, it blends satire, frustration and self-awareness into a song that is both a tirade and a joke.
Williams explained that the track began as an experiment with Meehan’s mobile studio setup: “We started doing this track and turned it into Dickhead... it was definitely lent from the Mitchell Brothers, so they are to blame for this whole thing.” The song’s swaggering rap verses and exaggerated insults lampoon tabloid culture and the public perception of Williams himself. “This song is for everyone that thinks I am a dickhead,” he said. “I am just reciprocating — the feeling is mutual.”
“Among my friends, ‘dickhead’ is the biggest compliment that can be paid. If I call you a dickhead, I like you.”Robbie Williams
With its defiant humour and explosive energy, Dickhead recalls the playful aggression of Eminem’s early work, mixing absurdity with bravado. The track’s final section descends into gleeful chaos as Williams gleefully chants, “I’ve got a bucket of shit,” pushing the parody to its limit. Beneath the profanity, however, lies a cathartic sense of release — a way for Williams to mock fame’s absurdities while reclaiming power from his critics.
Rarely performed live, Dickhead remains a cult favourite among fans for its unfiltered honesty and mischievous spirit, encapsulating the irreverence that defines the Rudebox era.
Lyrics
What's your problem dickhead
Don't kick my dog dickhead
Don't beep at me dickhead
Why d'you mug me off in my car dickhead
Why you disrespecting my bra dickhead
Theres a dickhead in you're mouth

Do not have kids
Don't want dickheads to be made dickhead
Why you disrespecting my bra dickhead
Why d'you piss me off in first class dickhead
I'm not sitting here to be treated like a dickhead

Isn't it lovely, that we can still be good friends
They say you've gone off me, don't be so sloppy baby
Isn't it lovely, that we can still be good friends
I know you still want me, cos I'm so lovely baby
If you diss me you'll sell copy dickhead

With someone who gives a shit
I've found the dickhead of the year
And you are fucking it dickhead
Where's the chorus, no chorus, dickhead
Isn't it lovely, that we can still be good friends
They say you've gone off me, don't be so sloppy baby
Isn't it Lovely, that we can still be good friends
I know you still want me, cos I'm so lovely baby
