International Entertainment closes Under the Radar Vol. 2 and was written by Robbie Williams, Tim Metcalfe and Piers Baron, who also produced the track. Conceived as a potential show opener for the Heavy Entertainment Show Tour, it instead became the album’s high-octane finale. Williams described it as “big and bombastic,” a tongue-in-cheek anthem about fame, survival and the endurance of his entertainer persona.

The track begins with the line “Silence in the courtyard, silence in the street,” later reused to introduce Marry Me on Heavy Entertainment Show. Its lyrics combine self-reference and bravado, portraying Williams as both ringmaster and survivor of his own chaotic career. “Drinking, fighting, smoking, I’m still alive,” he sings, summarising his journey with wry humour and defiance. The refrain “I am alive” becomes a declaration of persistence rather than perfection.

Musically, International Entertainment fuses electronic dance rhythms with rock dynamics and a pulsing bassline. The production moves between calm, introspective verses and explosive, jungle-influenced choruses, mirroring the duality of Williams’ public and private life. Its mixture of EDM, pop and theatrical flair anticipates the electronic direction of his later projects.

The lyric video, released on 20 March 2018, draws on the imagery of Williams’ online vlog series, depicting a digitised Robbie navigating an eight-bit, kaleidoscopic world filled with arcade motifs. Fans praised the song for its high energy and its tongue-in-cheek self-portrait of a pop survivor still thriving in the spotlight.
