L’Amour Suprême is the French-language adaptation of Robbie Williams’s 2000 single Supreme, released during the Sing When You’re Winning campaign. Issued specifically for Francophone markets, the version replaced the English lyric with newly written French text while retaining the original melody and orchestral arrangement that characterised Supreme.

The adaptation followed the commercial success of the parent single across Europe. Its French lyric was crafted to mirror the theme and structure of the original, maintaining the song’s narrative tone and distinctive interplay between pop arrangement and the recurring string motif inspired by François de Roubaix’s score for Un Homme et une Femme. The recording itself used the same instrumental track as the English version, with Williams re-recording the full vocal in French.

Musically unchanged from the album mix, L’Amour Suprême places emphasis on Williams’s phrasing and delivery in a second language, offering an alternative interpretation of one of his best-known singles. The arrangement continues to blend live rhythm section, orchestral sweep and the song’s characteristic rising string figure.

Although not incorporated into tour setlists, the French version received airplay across Francophone territories and remains a notable example of Williams’s occasional use of language-specific recordings to broaden his international presence.
