Written by Robbie Williams and Guy Chambers, Not of This Earth was released in April 2001 on the soundtrack to Bridget Jones’s Diary. The song accompanied the romantic comedy’s closing scenes and quickly became a favourite among fans, even though it never appeared on a Williams studio album. With its lush strings, brushed drums and tender vocal delivery, the track distils the cinematic warmth that defined much of his work with Chambers.
