About

Soul Seekers was released on 7 October 2022 as the third single from Visions Volume 1. It marked the moment when Lufthaus formally revealed their line-up—Robbie Williams with long-time collaborators Tim Metcalfe and Flynn Francis—after several months of anonymity. The song arrived ahead of their UK arena tour supporting Williams, accompanied by a video filmed in Melbourne and a series of remixes by Booka Shade and Joachim Pastor.

Written and produced by the trio with additional work by Doshpot, Soul Seekers expands on the project’s introspective tone. Its shimmering synths and deep, rolling bass create a shadowy, cinematic atmosphere, while Williams’s vocal drifts between half-whisper and mantra. The refrain “staring at the black night satellite” anchors the track in cosmic imagery, evoking both isolation and transcendence. The line “for those who know, there’s more worth knowing,” included in the promotional material, underscored its theme of awakening beyond surface perception.

Fans first heard the song in June 2020 during one of Williams’s Instagram Lives, where he played early Lufthaus demos recorded in lockdown. Its eventual release fulfilled that long tease, confirming the project’s blend of electronic restraint and lyrical depth. The accompanying video placed the band in a dimly lit club setting, connecting the track’s atmospheric production with the underground aesthetic that defines the Lufthaus sound.

“For those who know, there’s more worth knowing.”Robbie Williams

Haunting yet quietly euphoric, Soul Seekers is the emotional core of Visions Vol. 1. Its introspective lyrics and ethereal production capture the project’s central idea: music as both escape and illumination, a bridge between darkness and discovery.

Lyrics

Soul seekers, seekers of light
Staring at the black night satellite
Out of the chaos, out of control
You can't find me, I surrender a long time ago

I surrender
I surrender
I surrender
I surrender
I surrender

Soul seekers, seekers of light
Staring at the black night satellite
Searching for peace, away from the blind
Not waylaid by mediocre minds

Soul seekers, seekers of souls
It's the way you hold yourself with what you know
Out of the chaos, out of control
You can't find me, I surrender a long time ago

I surrender
I surrender
I surrender

Free-, free-, free-, free-, freedom
Free-, free-, free-, free-, freedom
Free-, free-, free-, free-, freedom
Free-, free-, free-, free-, freedom
I surrender
