Sunlight was released on 15 September 2023 as the seventh single from Visions Volume 1, completing the sequence of pre-album releases that defined Lufthaus’s debut era. Written and produced by Robbie Williams, Tim Metcalfe and Flynn Francis, it features all three members sharing vocal duties, with Williams, Metcalfe and Francis each taking a verse or chorus. An official lyric video accompanied the release, highlighting the group’s collaborative spirit ahead of the full album launch.

The track contrasts the darker tones of earlier singles with a smoother, more melodic approach. Opening with Flynn Francis’s delicate vocal, Sunlight unfolds into an airy, mid-tempo rhythm underscored by piano chords and a soft electronic pulse. Metcalfe’s and Williams’s vocals join to create layered harmonies on the chorus, adding depth to the song’s melancholic refrain, “When I fall down.” Though often mistaken for “Sunlight fall down,” the official lyrics reveal a more introspective message of resilience and renewal.

Despite its bright title, the song carries a wistful mood.
